Introduction

Hello everyone. I decided to create this group as I enjoy the company of others interested in exploring Atlanta's cultural scene. Artists work incredibly hard on their craft, and they need the support of an enthusiastic audience.

Who is your favorite artist and why?

For 2-D art, I would have to go with Degas. His lines are graceful, and his use of perspective and contrast were very unique at the time. Runner-Up: Paul Klee. For sculpture, Rodin. There were few sculptors who could create a piece as expressive.

How did you learn about Art Openings ATL?

The idea came to me following a recent trip to Peru. I thought, "How cool would it be to have a large group of friends who share my interest in art, to go to art openings with?"
