Come explore Dali's late work at the High! We'll walk through the exhibition and contemplate some of the paintings and drawings he made during his last decades. Dali was a master painter, and the man whose unique vision gave Surrealism it's name.
When the museum closes, we'll walk over to Tap and discuss what we saw and what we thought over drinks and foods. If it's not too hot and steamy we can enjoy our discussion on Tap's outdoor patio.
We'll meet at the exhibition entrance, after getting our tickets. Please plan on getting to the museum by 2:45 at latest so you can get through the ticket line and up to the exhibit entrance by 3 p.m. That'll give us 2 hours to view and ponder the sights. I'll send my cell number and some other details on how to find me a few days before we meet.

The link below takes you to the Dali museum in Paris, recently visited and recommended by one of our members. The galleries display a number of beautiful, interesting sculptures by Dali. The sculptures are in the surrealistic mode, but also show Dali's mastery of the human form:

Continued from the posting below, in answer to Aaron's questions.
And I think this outing is probably not the right one for a family of four. Your best bet as a family really is probably going on a Thursday, when the adult rate is cheaper. I think there are cheaper rates also for kids under 11 and 11 to 17 too.
Note to those who RSVP'd Yes!: I'll send an email out to everybody sometime Friday with details on where we'll meet, parking, and how to contact me, etc. See you all soon!
Hi, Aaron!
No, we will not be using a group rate. That is $15/ person for Sunday groups of 10 or more, but because regular tickets are $18/per for non-museum members, and because meetup group attendance is hard to guarantee, we unfortunately did not put that together for this event.
Thursdays, 4-8 p.m., the group rate is $9, so you could try putting a different group together for that if you'd like.
See next posting for more....
So will we qualify for a group rate? How do the spots work? Can I bring my family of 4 with this group?
