how should i frame my art major?
okay i’ve done my art major on hurricane katrina. the painting is of a young girl looking into a puddle and seeing her reflection and the devestations of hurricane katrina.
i need to frame it for art but i dont know what would look best. the canvas is 1m x 1.5m and is very light. the colours used on it are mainly browns, greys, and blues.
i dont know how i should frame it. i dont want the typical polished edge around it, because the image is of devistation.
would really appreciate opinions, sorry no pictures.
These previous answers give you the wrong things to consider in a frame, Maddy. A frame is the stage on which you perform your play. It is a chance to improve on the work without detracting from it in any way. Look at your picture and decide what color in it can use some ‘help’. Is there and one color you wish to bring out a little? If you found it use that color in the matte or the frame and it will enhance your work.
